Frequently asked questions

Research Use Only & legality

What does "Research Use Only" (RUO) mean, and can you provide dosing or protocols?

Research Use Only means every product is supplied strictly as an in-vitro laboratory reference material for research and analytical work, and we provide no human- or animal-use guidance of any kind.

What RUO is
Each item is a reference material for in-vitro laboratory research only. It is not a medicine, food, supplement, cosmetic, veterinary product, or medical device, and carries the label “FOR LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY (IN VITRO).”

Not for human or animal use
Products are not for human or veterinary use, administration, or consumption under any circumstances, with no therapeutic, dietary, or cosmetic application.

No dosing or consumption guidance
We give no doses, protocols, cycles, stacks, or reconstitution for consumption. Any reconstitution information we publish is solely for analytical laboratory preparation, and requesting human-use guidance may lead to cancellation of your order.

Is it legal to buy research compounds and peptides online?

Research compounds are supplied lawfully as Research Use Only in-vitro materials, but the legality of purchase, import, and possession depends entirely on the laws of your own country and is your responsibility as the buyer.

Your responsibility
You must verify that buying and importing a given compound for research is permitted where you are before ordering. We cannot provide legal advice.

When in doubt
Consult a qualified local advisor before placing an order if you are unsure about the rules that apply to you.

Who can buy from Condor Research, and do I need a prescription or license?

Condor Research sells only to professionals, institutions, and businesses aged 18 or over; no prescription is involved because these are not medicines.

Professional and B2B only
The website is directed at qualified professional and B2B buyers, not consumers, and we do not knowingly sell to consumers. At checkout you confirm a declaration of professional capacity via an unchecked box.

Age requirement
The minimum age to purchase is 18, with no exception, as these are laboratory reference materials for qualified research buyers rather than general consumers.

Prescription and licenses
No prescription applies, since products are not sold for any medical purpose. Any license or permit needed to purchase, import, or handle a given compound depends on your country’s laws and is your responsibility; verify local requirements before ordering.

How is this different from medicine or supplements from a pharmacy?

Unlike pharmacy medicines or supplements, these products are not approved or sold for human use, carry no dosing instructions, and are supplied only as in-vitro laboratory reference materials. A pharmacy product is a regulated medicine or food intended for consumption; a Condor Research compound is explicitly not a medicine, food, supplement, cosmetic, or medical device, and must be used solely for laboratory research.

Ordering & eligibility

Who is eligible to order, and what is the professional declaration at checkout?

Orders are open to professionals, institutions, and businesses aged 18 or over who confirm a declaration of professional capacity at checkout.

Eligibility
The store is directed at B2B and professional buyers, not consumers, and we do not knowingly sell to consumers. By completing checkout you affirm you are purchasing these materials for legitimate laboratory research purposes.

The professional declaration
You must tick an unchecked box confirming you are buying as a professional, institution, or business and understand the products are Research Use Only in-vitro materials. Because it is not pre-ticked, you actively affirm it, including that you will not use the materials for human or veterinary administration or consumption.

Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?

Changes and cancellations may be possible only before your order ships, so contact info@condorresearch.com immediately with your order number.

Cancellations
You can cancel before the order ships. For business (B2B) orders a fixed cancellation fee of 5 EUR applies; consumer cancellations before shipping carry no fee. Once an order has shipped, B2B cancellations are no longer accepted.

Modifications
Items, quantities, or the shipping address can be changed only before dispatch. Because orders are prepared quickly, we cannot guarantee a change will be applied, but we will attempt it if the order has not yet left the warehouse.

Can academic institutions order, and do you offer invoices or bulk pricing?

Yes. Condor Research sells to professionals, institutions, and businesses, which includes academic and research labs.

Invoices and VAT
Prices are shown in EUR with VAT applied where applicable, and an invoice is provided for your purchase. For purchase-order workflows, institutional billing, or a VAT invoice with your organization’s details, contact info@condorresearch.com.

Bulk and wholesale
For bulk or wholesale quantities and larger procurement needs, contact info@condorresearch.com to discuss availability and terms. We do not publish volume-pricing tables or custom-synthesis offerings, so requirements are handled case by case with a quote where applicable.

Shipping & customs

Where do you ship from and to, and which carriers do you use?

Orders ship from our EU warehouse in Slovakia, with the carrier assigned automatically based on your delivery country.

Carriers
We use three: Packeta (Slovakia and Czechia, to address or pickup point), DPD (Slovakia, Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, and Germany to address; pickup in Slovakia and Czechia), and DHL Express for the rest of Europe by zone.

Destinations and restrictions
We ship within the EU and across Europe by carrier zone, but specific country eligibility can vary and some destinations may be restricted for particular compounds. We run sanctions and export screening before dispatch and do not ship to sanctioned territories or restricted parties. To confirm shipping to your country for a specific product, contact info@condorresearch.com before ordering.

How does delivery work — time, tracking and free shipping?

Delivery normally takes a few business days within Europe, depending on destination and carrier, and every order includes tracking.

Delivery time
We cannot promise exact delivery dates or guaranteed transit times, and customs handling outside the EU can add time. For an estimate to your country, contact info@condorresearch.com.

Tracking
You receive your tracking number once the shipment is dispatched and can follow the parcel through the assigned carrier.

Free shipping
Orders of 150 EUR or more qualify for free shipping using the cheapest available method; orders below that are charged based on carrier and country, with the exact cost shown at checkout.

Can I use a pickup point, and is the packaging discreet?

Yes, where the carrier supports it.

Pickup points and parcel lockers
Packeta and DPD offer pickup-point delivery in eligible countries (both in Slovakia and Czechia), which you can select at checkout where available. Options depend on your destination and the assigned carrier.

Packaging
Orders are dispatched in plain outer packaging without product branding on the exterior. Because shipments must carry truthful customs documentation, the contents are accurately described as Research Use Only material on the required paperwork; we do not falsify or hide what is inside.

Will I have to pay customs duties or import VAT, and what if a parcel is held at customs?

Orders ship under Incoterms DAP (Delivered at Place, Incoterms 2020): Condor handles export clearance, and you as the buyer are responsible for import.

Duties and import VAT
Import, including any duties, import VAT, and customs clearance in your country, is your responsibility. Shipments within the EU pass through no customs. Charges depend on your local rules, which we cannot calculate; check with your customs authority for exact figures.

If a parcel is held or seized
Resolving a hold or seizure with your local authority is your responsibility under DAP terms. We ship with truthful RUO documentation and screen against sanctions before dispatch. If customs contacts you for paperwork, reach out to info@condorresearch.com and we will help with the export documentation we hold.

What if my package is damaged, lost or doesn't arrive?

Contact info@condorresearch.com ideally within 48 hours, with photos for damage, so we can open a claim with the carrier. This 48-hour window supports the claim and is not a legal deadline.

Claims and remedies
Tracking is included on all orders. Depending on the carrier investigation, a replacement, reshipment, or store credit may apply for B2B orders.

Keep the evidence
Retain the packaging and items until the claim is resolved so the carrier can inspect them.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept (card, SEPA, crypto)?

We accept card payment, SEPA bank transfer for B2B, and cryptocurrency, all priced in EUR with VAT where applicable. We do not accept PayPal, Revolut, or cash.

Card
Credit/debit card is offered where available, though it may appear as “coming soon” depending on the payment processor’s activation status; we cannot commit to a specific go-live date.

SEPA bank transfer
Available for B2B orders and payable within 5 business days or the order is cancelled and stock released. For security, the IBAN, account holder, and payment reference are provided through checkout rather than published on the site.

Cryptocurrency
Accepted through a self-hosted BTCPay Server. Once confirmed on the blockchain, crypto payments are final and irreversible. For the coins currently supported and exact steps, follow the checkout flow or contact info@condorresearch.com.

Is payment secure, and will I get an invoice with VAT?

Yes. Checkout is designed to protect your payment data, and an invoice is provided for every purchase.

Payment security
Full card numbers are not stored by us; card payments are handled through the payment processor and crypto runs on a self-hosted BTCPay Server. Atrio Sciences s.r.o. operates the store in line with GDPR, and your data is never sold.

Invoice and VAT
Prices are shown in EUR with VAT applied where applicable. If you need a VAT or business invoice with your company details, contact info@condorresearch.com. The order button is labelled “Order with obligation to pay,” confirming a binding purchase once you complete checkout.

Quality, testing & COA

Are products third-party tested, and do you provide a COA for every lot?

Yes. Every batch is tested by an independent third-party laboratory using HPLC for identity and purity, with mass spectrometry on peptides, and is supplied with its own batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA).

Independent, per-lot testing
This independent testing is a core part of how we verify what we ship, rather than relying on self-reported in-house quality control alone.

Batch-specific COA
A COA is issued per batch, tied to the actual lot rather than a generic or representative sample. This per-lot traceability lets you match the certificate to the material you receive.

Can I see the COA before I buy?

Yes. To review the Certificate of Analysis for a specific product or batch before purchasing, contact info@condorresearch.com and we will provide it. Each COA reflects independent third-party HPLC testing (with MS on peptides) for the relevant lot. Because certificates are batch-specific, the document corresponds to the material tied to that lot rather than a generic sample.

What purity do you guarantee, and how can a blend be ≥99% pure?

Individual compounds are certified to at least 99% purity by HPLC, verified by an independent third-party laboratory, with mass spectrometry on peptides for identity.

How purity is measured
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis documenting the measured results from independent third-party testing.

Blends and per-component purity
For blends, the ≥99% specification applies per component, not to the combined mixture, because a co-formulated vial contains several deliberate actives rather than one molecule. Each constituent is assessed individually, which is why a blend is not described as a single ≥99% substance.

Defined mixtures
Cerebrolysin is a defined peptide mixture, so it is not a single ≥99% molecule.

Why don't you publish the manufacturer's identity, and can you provide an SDS?

We do not publish manufacturer documentation or identity in order to protect the integrity of our supply chain; verification is provided instead through independent third-party test reports.

How verification works
A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is supplied for every lot, giving you analytical proof of identity and purity for the material you receive while keeping sourcing details confidential.

Safety Data Sheets
Where applicable, for substances and mixtures falling under REACH, a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is provided when relevant, and CLP classification and labelling are applied where applicable. To request the SDS for a specific compound, contact info@condorresearch.com.

Returns, damage & issues

What is your return policy, and why are sealed goods final sale?

Because products ship in sealed laboratory-grade packaging for B2B buyers, all sales are final except in cases of damage in transit, non-conformity, or where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

No change-of-mind returns
Routine change-of-mind returns of sealed goods are not accepted, so this protects the integrity and traceability of sealed laboratory materials.

Why sealed goods are final
For sealed goods, any withdrawal right that might apply to a consumer is lost once the seal is opened (Art. 16(e) Directive 2011/83/EU). If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact info@condorresearch.com promptly so we can arrange an appropriate remedy.

What if the product has a latent defect I discover later?

For latent (hidden) defects, notify us within a reasonable time of discovery; for B2B buyers this means within 14 days of discovering the defect. Contact info@condorresearch.com with details and supporting evidence. Once confirmed, an appropriate remedy can be arranged consistent with our terms. Reporting promptly after you identify the issue helps ensure your claim can be properly assessed.

What if my order arrives damaged, and how do I get a refund?

Contact info@condorresearch.com ideally within 48 hours of delivery, including photos of the damage. This 48-hour window supports the carrier claim and is not a strict legal deadline.

Remedies for B2B orders
Depending on the outcome, a replacement, reshipment, or store credit may be offered. Retain the packaging and affected items until the claim is resolved so the carrier can inspect them.

Refunds
Where a remedy applies, such as for damage in transit or non-conformity, contact info@condorresearch.com to start the process. We cannot state exact refund timeframes here; if a monetary refund applies, the method and timing are confirmed case by case.

Research handling

What is a lyophilized peptide, and what does reconstitution mean?

A lyophilized peptide is one that has been freeze-dried into a solid powder for stability and storage, supplied as a laboratory reference material.

Appearance
The low-mass powder may appear as a thin film or be barely visible in the vial, which is normal.

Reconstitution
Reconstitution means dissolving the freeze-dried powder in a suitable diluent to prepare a working solution for analytical laboratory use. Any reconstitution information we provide is solely for laboratory preparation.

Research use only
We give no guidance for human or animal use, dosing, or administration. The compound remains a Research Use Only in-vitro material at every stage of handling.

What is bacteriostatic water and how does it differ from sterile water?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative, which allows a vial to be accessed multiple times in laboratory work, whereas plain sterile water has no preservative and is intended for single use. It is offered as an accessory diluent for analytical laboratory preparation. Like all catalog items, it is Research Use Only and not for human or veterinary use.

How should I store a lyophilized vial, and does a datasheet or COA come with it?

Lyophilized research vials are generally stored frozen at around −20°C and protected from light to preserve integrity, as standard laboratory storage conditions for freeze-dried reference materials.

Storage conditions
These conditions relate to maintaining the material as a research reference compound and are storage instructions for laboratory use only, not human-use directions.

Datasheet and COA
Where applicable, product datasheets include laboratory handling and storage information, and each batch is supplied with a Certificate of Analysis from an independent third-party laboratory documenting identity and purity. Any reconstitution or storage data provided is solely for analytical laboratory preparation. To obtain the datasheet or COA for a specific product or lot, contact info@condorresearch.com.
